Highest Jump Without A Parachute

Updated July 30, 2019
In 2016, Luke Aikins skydived from 7,600 m (25,000 ft) and landed without a parachute.
Gary Connery became the first person ever to skydive and land without a parachute back in 2012 - although he did use a wingsuit. Gary jumped from a helicopter at 732 m (2,400 ft) and made a spectacular landing in a "runway" of stacked cardboard boxes.[1]

Four years later, Luke Aikins followed up Gary's stunt - this time without a wingsuit - as he became the second person ever to land without a parachute and also set a new record for the highest skydive without a chute.[2] Luke jumped from a plane at a staggering 7,600 m (25,000 ft), used oxygen for the first part of his jump and landed in a net.[2] He had only his body to direct his movements and wore a GPS unit to help him track his landing site.[2]
